This is nice, next time I would buy locally the U.P.S. original Haier Box was beat to death, luckily it was for me.

Don’t bother

It came in very minimal packaging with a couple of dents. At first it didn’t work at all but after several trys the compressor finally came on. It sounds like a jackhammer. Never had a chance to try it out due to the problems…

Receved box in ok shape. Upon unpacking there was a dent on the side and bottom of the unit. Pluged it in and set the temp. After a full day the referagetor was warrmer than the out side temp. the motor on the back was hot. A friend who looked at it said the dent damaged the lines inside. I have sent three e mails to the company with no reply.

To ship the unit back would be more than I paid for it.

I can not recommended this company.

Unit is too small for what I need. I wanted to return it but you have to have a return code, which you get from the company that sold to Amazon, Computer Brain. You only have 5 days from the time you receive the code to return it. The shipping cost to return is more than the cost of the refrigerator so I now have a refrig on my hands that I can’t use but don’t want to pay more for the return than the refrig cost! I will not buy from the company again!

Strange odor
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I bought this refrigerator from Best Buy. The packaging was fine. However there has been a strange odor – chemical might be the right description from day 1. This is before I put bottled water inside, which is all it has ever had. I’m seriously concerned it’s some kind of poisonous gas and will probably return.

Refrigerator Purchase
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Wanted a refrigerator – mini – for my woodworking projects in my garage. Friend had one and recommended this one to me. Works fine and it sure is nice to not have to go into the house for a cold snack/drink.

yay fridge
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I like the fridge. It is a good size for my dorm, and although I can’t store much in it, it’s enough to have some cold drinks and keep my leftovers and such. The only sad part is that the little freezer compartment doesn’t keep ice cream very solid. Also, it was new and dented, but I think that was because of cheap shipping and handling.

Great fridge for great price!

I love this unit. It’s fairly lightweight, it holds everything I need to eat healthfully at work, and it’s affordable!

Meh

I only got this one because I wanted a cheap fridge for my dorm room. The fridge came with small smudges, dents, and scratches all over, and looking at some of the small details the build quality doesn’t look too good. In some places it looks like they put too much sealant in, in others it looks like they didn’t use enough. The only reason this gets 3 stars was because I wasn’t expecting a great product because of the price, but will be happy if this lasts till the end of the current school year.

Deal to good to be true. Free shipping offer. The refrigerator arrived in the box that you would see in the store. There was no protection from shipping damage and guess what. The refrigerator damaged/dented. I could have gotten past the dent but aftre being plugged in for 24 hours, the inside was hotter than before plugging it in. I had to repack the item doing a much better job than I received it in and drive it to a local UPS depot where they charged me more than what Amazon would have charged me if the shipping weren’t free. Amazon did refund the price of the refrigerator but only the shipping that they would have charged and NOT what I had to pay. I lost money on this deal and have no refrigerator.

Great Fridge – Just Be Careful with Shipping
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
The refrigerator works very well. As per the instructions make sure to wait 24 hours before turning it on. It arrived without damage and keeps the temperature just fine. Noise level is acceptable (nothing amazing, but its not bad either).

The packaging is in fact attrocious. There is literally no foam padding of any kind. Amazon packs its books better than Haier packs its fridge. Only order if you have Amazon Prime – upgrade it to overnight shipping ($3.99) and your order is unlikely to arrive with any damage. The less time in shipping, the less likely you are to see damage.

Other than that, this is a great mini-fridge especially given the price.

DO NOT BUY THIS REFRIGERATOR
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I also purchased this same compact fridge for my daughter’s dorm room. She has thrown away more milk due to the fact that it NEVER GETS COLD ENOUGH! I am returning this today and will look for another brand. I bought mine in the store so we did not have a problem with the box.

Great refrigerator for the price
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is a small refrigerator, good the sodas and small items. But it works fine (slightly noisy) and was a great deal for the price. Though the packaging wasn’t great, it arrived in perfect condition. Would definitely recommend for a dorm room or office space. My 17 year old son put it in his room.

Arrived Damaged!
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
This item arrived from the factory damaged. The box was pristine, but the metal bar that goes across the bottom of the fridge was badly bent, so that it wouldn’t sit flat on the floor. The fact that the box was perfect tells me that it was damaged at the factory and still shipped out anyway. Then, when I called Haier, they wanted to charge me $15 to ship a new one out, even though it had been damaged at the factory!

FRIDGE ARRIVED DENTED
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
When my small refrigerator arrived FROM AMAZON DIRECT it was in bad shape. I could tell it was brand new by the smell and some packaging but the box it was in was terribly damaged. Oddly, the box was sliced open around the entire bottom (like maybe it was inspected?) and then strapped together with merely 2 plastic straps for packing expediency. Then when I cut the straps to lift off the box the door of the frig had a gouge/dent in it and paint pealed off there so it may likely rust. I don’t know if Amazon or the shipping company are to blame. SO aesthetically, it isn’t pretty but it does seem to be functioning ok so far. No, I’m not going through the hassle to send it back… I have more important things to do with my time. Disappointed Chris

Does the Job for the Price
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Overall, just what I expected for the price I paid. The unit keeps an adequately cold, even tempurature, and the freezer section doesn’t require defrosting very frequently (I went a whole year without a problem). Storage on the door and inside is adequate, and the construction’s not too bad.

The downside is that it does get noisy when it kicks on – it sounds kind of like a flock of pigeons. I had this in my office and when it would start people would ask if I had a coffeepot under my desk or my stomach was rumbling…it’s that sort of sound.

Again…for the price, it delivers, but the noise is a lot to deal with.

Not a good item
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I purchased this refrigerator for our office. As I had read in other reviews it was a little noisy. It was incredibly noisy. You could not talk when it cycled on. I left work on Wednesday, October 8th and returned to the office on October 14th to find the refrigerator had stopped working. All the milk products had turned sour and spoiled.

Don’t buy this item.

Broke down within 2 weeks
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Within two weeks this fridge would stop working intermittantly. Had a mind of its own. Shortly after it died for good.

I called to talk about repairing it, and the fees for shipping it in are $24. The rep on the line was trying to discourage me to do that as if she felt herself it was a waste of money. I didn’t. I am not wanting to pay another quarter of the price for a fridge that I had not been able to use and will likely break down again in the near future (it seems to be really cheaply built). I am taking the loss on this one.

I had this unit for many years while living in the dorm. It’s very convenient, it cools fast and is very quiet as well. I basically use it for milk, juice and ice creams, strongly recommend if you live by yourself and don’t cook too much.

A NIGHTMARE!
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
AVOID THIS COMPANY!! My Freezer arrived broken. Haier customer service was rude & obnoxious. They were completely unapologetic & seemed to go out of their way to be UNHELPFUL. When I finally bullied them into action, they wanted a full week to send out a service man who may or may not have been able to fix it. I spoke to both customer service and corporate, both were extremely rude and entirely useless. What’s more, neither one had the decency to so much as apologize. NEVER AGAIN.

This was every internet buyer’s nightmare!
