Good Decalcifier!

We have very hard water so a decalcifier for our DeLonghi espresso machine is a must. I’ve never used anything other than the Durgol 0291 Swiss Espresso Special Decalcifier because there hasn’t been a need to. I have been very pleased with the results.
Descaler recommeded

This is the descaler recommended by my espresso maker. It works well, kind of expensive (well anything would be expensive compared to vinegar and water). I use the discarded solution to soak inside my electric teakettle before discarding – so I do get twice the use out of each bottle. Recommend buying in multiple quantities to save on shipping.

We have used Durgol Espresso Machine cleaner ever since we bought our Automatic Espresso maker and it works seamlessly with the automated cleaning cycle. I highly recommend it to anyone who owns a high end Espresso Machine.

Beware on granite surfaces

I used this descaler on my Tassimo machine. I worked fine and I am sure did the trick.
I wanted to write this review to warn everyone out there that this product will stain your granite counter tops. I had no idea. I set the bottle on my black granite and later found a stain in the shape of the ring left behind from the solution. Needless to say that I am totally bummed and saddened that my granite is ruined. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please let me know!

Gurgol works

I have been using Gurgol to clean my Delonghi Magnifica for two years. It works great. It cleans out all the crud that hard water deposits in the machine.

We were taking very poor care of our espresso machine and in a moment of panic ordered the decalcifier on line. My hubby ran it through our machine, cleaned up all the dirty parts ( yikes…we were really remiss in our care of our machine) and it is good as new! Dont’ forget to Decalcify your machines!!!

Among the many products available, Durgol has never failed us and our DeLonghi capp machine. We have stuck with the brand for a few years now, and won’t change it for anything. Will definitely buy again..and again.

My home espresso machine had gotten so limed up I had scheduled a major repair. Before taking it over for the expensive work I decided to try a different deliming product. After ONE try it was working again perfectly. The powdered product wouldn’t even touch it but this product worked great!
good cleaner for espresso machine

Product cleaned the coffee machine but I had to use more than what suggested on the box and I had to wait one day. Which is fine machine are not all the same, indication are usually provided for average situations. Maybe there was a lot calcium deposited in my machine. Bottom line is that
my DeLonghi espresso machine turned back to make a perfect caffe’ espresso. I will certainly reuse the Durgol decalcifier, because it cleaned the machine and did not leave any bad taste at all. I recommend the product and suggest not wasting time with alternative methods ( lemon juice or vinegar).

Had a bowl full of water and… stuff.

This is one of those products that is pretty hard to review. It seems like it did a little good for my espresso maker and I ended up with a bowl full of water and “stuff”. But really it still makes coffee just like it did before. I assume it helped but if you use this and say it made a huge difference then you should probably be using it more often. It’s nice that it’s two bottles in the box so that there’s more than one treatment.

I found myself in the same boat as some other people on here, i hadn’t ever used decalcifier, and used it and it clogged my machine. I ran it again and was able to get it to unclog, and now it works better than it ever has!
World’s Best and Fastest Decalifier Ever

Forget about that Lime Away stuff….takes way too long to work. Got this product for my Capresso Teakettle (which I just love) and when the heating element becomes covered with water calcification…this stuff removes it in a second. Rinses clean too unlike Lime Away which leaves some product residue behind no matter how many times I rinse my teakettle. Don’t have an espresso machine but see by the reviews that it works stupendously for that also. Just read the directions…couldn’t be simplier.
